Welcome to the 19th edition of the International Conference on Theoretical Aspects of Catalysis (ICTAC), taking place in the vibrant city of Seville, Spain, from September 2nd to 6th, 2024.
ICTAC stands as the foremost international platform for the presentation and exploration of groundbreaking advancements in the theory and modeling of catalysis. This biennial conference series had its inception in Lyon, France, in 1986 and has since been hosted by various European cities and universities. Noteworthy locations include Tarragona (Spain), Zakopane (Poland), Berlin (Germany), Varna (Bulgaria), Vlissingen (The Netherlands), London (UK), as well as recent ventures into the Asian and North-American continents with Matsuchima, Japan in 2010 and Los Angeles, USA in 2018. Organized by the Group of Theoretical Chemistry and chaired by Prof Javier Fdez. Sanz, the 19th edition will grace the historic city of Seville.
The conference will be a focal point for the latest advancements in theoretical and computational approaches to catalysis, while also featuring select presentations showcasing experimental breakthroughs in this field. The conference aims at gather young and senior scientists from diverse communities spanning heterogeneous catalysis, electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, homogeneous catalysis, and enzymatic catalysis. By fostering collaboration and exchange between theoreticians and experimentalists, ICTAC aims to propel the frontiers of knowledge in catalysis.
Immerse yourself in the intellectually stimulating discussions, soak in the captivating charm of Seville, and indulge in the remarkable weather, warm hospitality, and delectable gastronomy of Andalusia. We eagerly anticipate your presence in Seville in September 2024.
Warm regards,
ICTAC-2024 Steering Committee
